Speedfan says my Temp 2 is 105C?
Virtual DJ was just running to prove it, and my computer started freezing. Then ALT-DEL CTRL ed out the program and decided to get a program to control the temperature of my computer. Speedfan was the Choice program results scares me a bit, but my team will light on fire? FAN1: 2596 Fan2 RPM: 2909 RPM Temp1: 36 ° C temp2: 105C Temp3: hd0 35C: 37C HD1: 35C I just put new thermal paste between the heatsink and the processor on this machine, and there is a 'special ventilation shaft' which takes air from the processor directly to the outside of the box. Help me please! The owner previous computer was complaining of random accidents. The first thing I did was change the thermal grease (last revision of the thermal values had its seal broken). There has crashed on me yet, but sometimes slows down immensely.
Try opening the case and get the dust out of it. Take the fan and heatsink CPU and get the dust out of them. You can try to buy a CPU cooler. It is a bigamist CPU fan instead of the cheap shit you have. That may help. Try leaving the case open, or use the side panel off and leaving out – at least keeping the heat out of the box. I have Speedfan myself – if there is a small flame icon listed next to the peripheral, then that Speedfan think it's too hot. Try to google a list of safe temperatures. There is a page like this out there in somewhere, I can not find right now though. BW
