how to organize my cd's of DJ'ing?
I recently sold my Technics turntables and replaced them with the Pioneer CDJ. I transferred all my vinyl to cd, but i cannot decide how to organize the new music that I can buy. Should I keep more or less a track for each CD, with a CD of songs recently organized in the style of music? any dj's tell me what system works for them?
Order my new music on "generations." Like the music of the 80s, 90s music, etc, but on a smaller scale, and from January to June 2007, July-December 2007. I think this is the easiest way. If you find that though difficult, question classification by genre. Make sure you do not have different CD for "disk" and "disco / electronic" as this will be mostly confusing!
