Turntable Stylus Cleaner
Turntable takes several tries to play a record?
I have an “automatic” turntable. After a recent move (I mention this because it may have been jostled, though not very badly), my turntable now takes several tries of putting the needle down (whether by hand or using the Start button) before it will play the record. It touches down and just lifts right back off and returns to the rest position. Usually, if I wipe the record clean, it will play after that. I know that my records should be clean when I play them anyways, but my records aren’t particularly dirty, and they are certainly no dirtier than they were before the move and it didn’t have this problem before the move. Does it need to be repaired, or is there an easier solution like a new stylus or something?
It needs rebalancing.
