Easy to install and easy to use (just press "play"). I'm sure there are better players out there for audiophiles (not consider myself one), but entry-level hub for someone just starting vinyl (like me) believe that this player works very well. I have not had any problems with the needle to jump or skip, but it certainly is necessary to ensure that the records are clean before the game, because needle and collecting dust disks pop and crackle. Seems to play both the 120g and 180g documents with no problem.

Not bad!
I read some comments here before I bought. I was a little unsure of what appears. Now that I have I can not see how anyone could have given a negative evaluation.
Only my set and I'm very impressed. It's better than the sound of my old record player in 1970 considerably. This does not look or wood and metal materials from my old – but still a great device. A simple hook up my CD outlets in my Pioneer Recvr modern. (I took off my CD player differant port hookup. I have many to choose from.) Played a couple of LP: A Pink Floyd and another of George Harrison. Both seemed equally with gold. Never want to use CD player again! I have a large collection of LPs substantialy I met in 1970 and plan on getting back on good terms with my LP now. Hail Hail Rock 'n roll.
Oh by the way it is that some respondents said Jack about squat cables? These I haveare normal hours every dish that I have had ever seen.

My parents gave me this for my birthday, I have 19, and I could not have asked for a better gift. Surely there are better players out there … but just wow. Honestly, I do NOT want to return to music (CD, mp3, etc), as the player / vinyl is only a many times better. This is my first record player and it was recommended to me by an old radio DJ. If you read this comment and debate between the cheap and this model Sony, get this! The Sony model has the flash, and still have basically the same parties. What I would like to have known is that this system has already been built AUX cables in it. Easy to put together (I'm including a YouTube video of the unboxing and installation of this product) sounds good to me. The pen / stylus is easy to remove, this is also a plus for being able to share that! I had some problems with the stylus, however, being a rookie in vinyl, and does not install correctly until a day later. So I wrote this review when the dish was not even at their best and now is getting better! (So make sure you install it correctly, and until it clicks in. .. In general, I would recommend this to a friend and certainly would be willing to buy this again, because I only had less than $ 150.

Pioneer PL-990
This is my first record player and I'm impressed so far. I bought it so I could hear the 30th anniversary edition of Dark Side Of The Moon on vinyl and Sound quality is very clear, broad, powerful and connected to my Sony LBT-ZX66i Stereo. The only thing I found odd is that I can not connect to the RCA jacks (I have mine connected to the input jacks of the game) on my system, but nevertheless, for me that is hardly an issue. Great dish of a trusted brand, Pioneer.

Recently I've been getting to collect vinyl and I needed a new dish, I looked around on the website of Best Buy and some others, but it was a bit more than I wanted pass. I found this on here and took a chance on it, and I have not been disappointed! I do not know much about record players, and I'm sure there are other dishes more tricked-out out there, but this is work for me.

Great turntable Easy Install
I received this dish as an anniversary gift from my girlfriend. I have a lot of CDs and more than 18,000 songs in iTunes, however when it comes to analog sound systems and vinyl that I am a total rookie.
I had two albums to prove my new disc player with Pink Floyd "The Wall" and Led Zeppelin II.
Basically, there is a built-in "pre-amplifier, and only two wires coming out of the player, a power cord and a pair of AUX output cables (one red and white cable). The player itself was easy to set. Metal tray has only to turn on the table, and the elastic belt has to be looped around the arm of the motor (easy with the aid of the included red ribbon, but also easy to do, without the tape).
For the player to play well, you need a pair of speakers (obviously), and an amplifier (not so obvious to a person who is new to the world of vinyl). The red and white cables simply get in a receiver / amplifier AUX input (look for red / white ports cord at the back). I simply used an old stereo that was collecting dust in my basement, and works well (be sure to adjust the AUX, if one).
That's all it is a disc player low cost is great value for money. The best part is the automatic: function. One should never take to lift or drop the needle / needle. If you want the lift the pen up (for the record cleaning rotate freely, or to jump to a specific song) There is an arm lift button. Once arm is up, you can swing the stylus back and forth, then press the button again to lower gently. This minimizes wear of the needle, and eliminates cracks.
Once a record is finished playing, the player shall lift the stylus, is a way back appropriate in the rest, and shut the player off. great feature, I can put on a record before going to sleep and know that the player will shut down in the morning.
Another good thing is that there is a wheel speed, which slightly changes the speed, the tone changes slightly if necessary adjust playback.
You can play 45 years (includes an adapter for the big hole in the middle of 45 years) and 33.3 's (standard LPs.) Only taking 33, but I'm sure the player does has no problem with 45s. The only downside is that there are 78 speed settings for this might not be the turntable for a record collector with a lot Disc 78.
Great player overall, I'm happy with the sound quality and ease of use of this table in turn.

Happy listening / Recorder
I own a high end Technics turntable (which I have yet connected to another receiver) for comparison. While the quality of construction of the Pioneer is nowhere near the technology, the sound quality is impressively close. I changed the rubber mat with the Technics (which is twice as thick) to help reduce the weight of the needle on the album.
Now, the real test recording, the first song I attempted was Bob Seger, Night Moves, as it contains some parts quiet (I wanted to see if the Pioneer that any additional output noise). Use the Roxio burning software and told him to detect and anywhere clip without sound. Pioneer past with great success. Were determined as quiet places! I did not think he would.
Final thought: While the sound quality does not match the high-end dishes big deer, for the money and the casual listener / writer (because after recording a song with the software these days, you can make it sound how ever you wish.) I have to give two thumbs up.
