Turntable Mp3 Usb
Beat Making, what do I need? What should I have?
I have a very, very, very limited budget (im only 15 years old; no job). Is it absolutely necessary to buy a new computer just for beat making? I have a decent computer, new and pretty fast, I plan on using that.
Im looking into buying FL, a USB/Turntable, and an MPD, maybe even a keyboard.
Couple of questions: can you loop or sample mp3 audio with the USB Turntable to work with FL? Can you use a MPD with FL? Can you buy, or download other sounds to use with FL (drums, piano, bass, guitar etc).
You don’t need a new computer, but if you aren’t feeling confident with your PC. Get more RAM. Don’t get an internal audio card. Find an external with a preamp. You can’ find those for between $100 and $300. I bought a Mobile-Pre for 140 when I first started out and it worked just great for making beats on the mpc and recording really good audio.
All of those hardwares are most likely compatible with FL. You can buy packages and plug-ins for FL. You can’t really find them free for download. What you can do is find your own loops and samples on a torrent or something and just import them into FL. I’m not sure if you can get a USB Turntable to work with FL, but in my opinion, the turntable isn’t very necessary for beat making. You can just download Virtual DJ. The thing you really need to buy is an MPC and a MIDI controller. Seriously, they make life so easy.
