Turntable Leveling
Help with LP to digital converter.?
I received a turntable with a USB output on it for Christmas. It also has software that can record the audio from the LPs. All of the hookups work fine and it plays on my computer, however, whenever I record it, I can’t keep the audio from clipping. Even if I turn down the recording level on the software almost all the way, it still clips. The audio is much quieter but still clips on the loud sections. The monitor which shows the input level from the audio shows it at well under the level that it should be clipping, yet it still sounds like the audio is clipped. How can I prevent this?
Check if you can limit the audio output at the turntable itself – before it reaches the PC.
