Turntable Hum

What is the best way to tranfer vinyl record to CD with the best sound quality possible?
I just want to know what is the best way of transferring vinyl to CD? I’ve been doing this for about 5 years now. I have an old preamp connected to a belt drive turntable which is connnected to the line in port of my sound card (which is a Soundblaster Audigy MP3+). The problem that I have with this is that after i record from the vinyl i get a hum in the recording while the record is playing. I download some songs other people transferred from vinyl and i hear no background noise whatsoever just the music. I hear the best way to go about it is to have your turntable connect to a standalone CD recorder. Can somebdy give me some advice what do to eliminate that annyoning hum? Also my turntable is grounded to the preamp and everything. Is there anything i need to buy like a new sound card or transerring the vinyll to a CD Audio recorder. I need help solving this. Any help would be appreciated.
Mike
there is a turntable that is sold through major retail outlets (bestbuy) that has usb directly from the table to a computer. i’ve had good experience with one and it is super easy to use and has software included! the hum issue should go away with the software that has noice reducing capabilities. all you need is a newer pc w/a cd burner and ur good to go. price is around $150 when on sale
