Turntable Grounding

turntable grounding
How to connect a turntable through a home theater system without earth?

I have a Technics direct drive turntable and 5.1 Sony home theater in a box configuration.

I guess you do not have a turntable input. This is how most of the receivers are these days (which is a very stupid omission on the part of manufacturers). If that is the case with yours, our going to have to buy a separate phono preamp to go between the turntable and one of the inputs on the receiver. Phono included in the receivers are specifically and only for use with turntable, nothing more. Of Otherwise, give rise to almost no sound from the turntable and a lot of buzz and others. Your best bet is to go to a store that specializes in DJ sound equipment for the separate preamplifier. I had to do the same thing because my receiver has no phono input. Most of these independent preamps, like the one I bought, will take care of all issues connected; sound boost, earth, etc. Any decent DJ salesman at the store should be able to answer most of your questions.
