Turntable Ground Wires
I have a Numark turntable sales on a groundout and only computer speakers, no volume, help!?
I have a Numark turntable with a grounder release and equipment and speakers, no volume, how I can successfully get the volume of these speakers? i have connected the RCA cables to an adapter that unites the left and right, the ground wire is not connected to anything.What is the cheapest way to get this to work? I just want to listen to my records, and got this sweet turntable at a great price ……
Your dish is much lower voltage output than any other audio component. This is because the signal is being generated by tiny magnets and coils in the cartridge by moving the needle on the record groove. At best, the cartridge has 5 mV higher output compared to 700 mV for a player Typical cassette and as high as 2 V (2,000 mV) for some CD players. This is called "line level" output, you need what is called a pre-amplifier phono to raise the output of the turntable at this level. Then hook the speakers to the output of the phono preamp.
