DJ Hero PS2 A rotating work with PS3?

I was thinking of buying DJ Hero, and I wanted to have 2 dishes. So I wanted to know if I bought the PS2 version of the dish (it's $ 20 less), would be able to use the turntable with the real PS3 game?

probably id would not assume that hook into the controller port ps2 and ps3 has no controller ports other then the front USB ports for charging, etc.
