Turntable Cd Recorder Player
Turntables (record player). Any advice for buying one?
What should I consider? What I want to get the best sound quality for money. fanciness I do not care. I plan on spending up to $ 300, but I do not want, if I can find a lower priced model that is equivalent sound quality. I plan to burn records to CD. I have a CD recorder and a PC, recording device that is better? Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Back in the day, they used to have these things Plato called matter. It was like gel pads for shoes with rubber – and very dense, but almost cloying. It was supposed to absorb engine vibration or plate, so no transfer of registration noise. My friend was your turntable and it worked pretty well. Apart from that, a direct drive Flash control is probably the best kind to get. Then sink a lot of money in the cartridge (about $ 200). A moving coil cartridge is better than a moving magnet, because there are fewer restrictions on the movement of the needle (less mass to move). But the result is considerably lower and you may need a preamp phono.
