A Night in Breckenridge
Breckenridge is well-known as a skiing resort town all over the world. However, the chairlifts shut down at 4pm as the sun goes down. So what’s to do next? Explore the nightlife in Breckenridge of course! An array of bars, restaurants, nightclubs and shops in Main Street can keep a city slicker busy after the ski slopes closes at night. Strategically located all in one area, you don’t have to drive around to get from one place to the other.
Cecilia’s, Sherpa & Yeti’s, Salt Creek and the Liquid Lounge all offer a different theme on any given night. So whatever mood you are in, there is always something or everything for everyone. Whether you are in the mood for dancing, club hopping, or just plain crowd watching, these clubs offer Dj’s or live bands. Great atmosphere for a night out of dancing or just having martinis with your friends. You can listen or groove to rock, techno, hip hop and of course country music.
If you’ve been skiing all day, don’t worry about being so late to catch dinner before all the restaurants closes, most of the bars and restaurants in Breckenridge keep their kitchen open very late so you’ll have the energy to go skiing again in the morning. If you’re looking for a more laidback bar, walk into the Breckenridge Brewery and feel right at ease. They have amazing beer that is brewed on site. This place is perfect if the club scene is not your thing. You won’t have to miss the game, Breckenridge have several sports bars. There will always be Mi Casa, a local Mexican restaurant for people who love spicy food, have a margarita and an order of your favorite spicy Mexican food and you’re set for a great night. Since Main Street hosts so many clubs, bars and restaurants all within walking distance of each other, it would be best to book your lodging near this area so you wont have to worry about getting tipsy and driving home. One word of caution, however; you’ll find that alcohol affects you faster at 9600ft than it does at sea level, so don’t drink too much too fast.
If you’re on a romantic getaway with your special someone and you’re looking for something classy and elegant, you can go to the Blue River Bistro. The bistro have an excellent wine list, superb dining menu, and most of all it is open very late. You won’t have to hurry and cut your romantic night out short. You can enjoy their live music every night. When you’re looking into elegant places to go in Breckenridge, the Blue River Bistro is the place to be, but it’s not the only place. The Crown and the South Ridge Street Seafood Grille each has both a unique atmosphere and delectable menu. The food is both a mixture of world class chef’s quality but still has that country-home feel and taste to it.
If you are looking for something to entertain you then you can watch bands play in bars and listen to Dj’s and rave it out in the clubs. But if you just want to take it easy but still want to get out and spend some time in the town, why not catch a movie or watch a play. There is always something playing in the Speak Easy Movie Theater. There is always something to do at night in Breckenridge.
