Technics 1210MK5 Turntable
Technics SL-1210MK2 and 1210MK5 SL?
I am looking into getting some new dishes and wondered what the difference between the two previous models. Its been a little while since I've looked at buying the team, so I'm curious, is Technics is still the reference point when it is covered?
The MK5 has modifications to reduce movement of the arm, and customizable speed brakes and a couple of things minimal. DJ If you are a hard core, which would better with MK5. As Technics is the reference point, yes, I suppose. It is an icon, but I think there are dishes that are better, or at least comparable out there. I really like The Numark TTX, with a pair of super high, BPM counter, and interchangeable arm. Stanton has also made some tts fine out there too. I have Technics 1200 and what sold me on them is their appearance, which I think is so damn cool, but can be trapped in the past. As for me, maybe it's time to move forward.
