Technics 1200 Turntable
U.S. Turntable Technics 1200SL 110 V 1200SL 220V EU?
Hello, I have 2 x 1200 SL purchased in the U.S. and its voltage is 110V. Is there any way to fix to make them usable in Europe is 220V. Aside from using the special transformer already do. Thanks
Sorry, but Robert is the problem, since 1200 no Do not use AC synchronous motors. Using direct drive DC motors, brushless frequency as the network is no problem. The voltage is, however. Unless there is a switch voltage changer in the back of the turntable (or even inside, under the outer shell), you will have to continue using transformers. Do not open the outer cover unless you are sure you know enough about electrical safety to do so without electrocuting yourself. e-mailing Technics attempt, and might be able to tell if the plates have a voltage change of heart.
