Help to be a DJ for fun?
I've seen people looking for advanced stereo really, but others have turntables and laptops. Can anyone tell me what I need to become a DJ? nothing super pro. I'm looking to spend less than $ 1000, I have a laptop tho. When writing the list than I need, can you also give me some information about what is it used for? and what is that software that can play music from a laptop through a turntable? there is a specific type of turntable that works with the software? what kind of sound system do you recommend? thanks to all

You can also go with something like Virtual DJ Pro: http://www.virtualdj.com/ This is software that will do a lot of things and accept input from external controllers if necessary. I can use this software for party / wedding / function private events where I know I will not need plates. As far as sound goes, it really depends on what we aspire to be. For most of a pair of speakers in the trees with a subwoofer or two will be more than sufficient for most applications. If you are doing club work more clubs have a decent home system. With a budget like yours I would get the software and plates (if needed) and a good pair of phones so that you can learn the system. PA add them as you can afford, remember you get what you pay.
