What kind of Dj equipment should I start with?
For a beginner dj, what equipment do I start? I like to start with classic dishes turtable or cd set. What do I need to search? What will happen to me? I basically need general advice on what I need.
Am totally disagree with this kind over me. I am a DJ in Las Vegas, which is the world capital tacit DJ's. Nobody, and I mean no one is using widgets CD here. If you plan on having parties and corporate events low level then fine, go ahead and get the players the CD table. But if you go around the world big boy and play in the major leagues, then you need to know how to work the vinyl. Most places, clubs, bars, whatever, have Serato Scratch Live as their base for DJ [operated record players, CD players can not] all you have to do is bring your laptop and connect to your system. His most money should be spent in turntables and a mixer … forget that other things now. You can pick up a pair of Technics and a decent mixer for around $ 800.00. I suggest the purchase of the plates used to save money, but buying a brand new mixer. Play with your food mixer and for a while and feel comfortable with him. Learn the basics, see other DJ's, ask questions and make sure you really want to exercise, be it a serious hobby or even a race [because they get very expensive, very fast] The biggest mistake to do with the new DJ's that need their parents to front the money for brand new dishes, a battle mixer, Serato, a laptop, an amplifier and a good speaker set-up, only to realize that isn't DJ for them. Well, do not have to spend $ 4500 only to realize that you do not like something. Start low, with 2 1200 and a mixer [Vestax and Rane are well]. Practice on your headphones [oh yes, you need the headphones ... good] and feel comfortable with your skills. Mix with Vinyl … none of this digital BS. It is the fastest way to learn to be a real good DJ. Then, when you feel you are pretty good, go out and get an amplifier, speakers, some, and possibly even a Serato created. It will take some time before it is good, so stick with it …. and for the love of God … stay on top of your vinyl! If you're playing the Top 40 for 4 months, nobody wants to hear !!!!!!!!! They want the song that I saw yesterday on MTV, or what song you hear on the new mixtape by Lil Wayne … and what are your work And one last thing … not one for another copy of style. During you learn, you will develop your own style. And wasting time thinking of some cheesy name DJ do similar in a way, but writes another [as Alpyne, o] Pyan because his name is easily confused with other DJ's who typed it correctly and now are taking their business [think Oakenfold, Tiesto, Sasha and Donald Glaude has this problem?] Wow, this quickly became a tutorial for "what I like about the new DJ's."
