What is the best recording / mixing / composition software at all?

for example (as Ableton Live) I'm a DJ and musician. I want software that can record my sets in my covers and instruments and something you can mix songs from a library and with my decks. I looked in Ableton Live, which is perfect, but I was wondering if there are any cheaper alternatives. I have no hardware or midi.

I am sure that if u go to www.download.com or could not find anything there,, I use MixMeister ….. there is one that u can record their instruments on it through your PC.
