Now that the holiday season is over, it's back to work! If the idea of meeting new people at a business event sends a chill up the spine, which is not alone. For many of us networking is something to fear. Unfortunately, these days, not what know. It's what you know or who knows, that counts for business success. And although business fairs and mixers can be intimidating for anyone, are also the perfect opportunity to network and build business relationships. To feel more comfortable at your next event, prepare in advance, with a full stomach the right attitude and the right tools.

Name tags should be used in the line of sight. This means that on the right, near the shoulder. When you extend your right arm to shake hands, the eye is automatically drawn to that area.
Feeling lonely? Approach people standing on their own, groups of three or more groups. When approaching a group of two that can interrupt a private conversation and could become uncomfortable.
If you are sitting, when someone approaches you, show respect and concern for the foot and the greeting.
To know and waving, making eye contact, smile, shake hands and say hello. Introduce yourself and your name and, where appropriate, state your relationship with the host.
Do not use nick names. Listen to how people introduce themselves and follow their example. Ask permission before shorten a name or a nickname try, just in case he is not appreciated. Nick-names like love and honey are never appropriate in a commercial environment.
Avoid taboo topics such as politics, religion, sex or money. In other words, stay away from any something personal or controversial.
Ease pressure on sales. Instead show interest with questions, talk about small and light. events make great conversation today, no issue is preserved.
Give and receive business cards with respect. When a card is offered to you, keep with respect and look at it before storing. When offering your business card, present it so that you can read the media toward the person receiving the card. Expect to be I asked, before submitting your business card.
