Preamp Mixer
I have a dod 240 resistance mixer that I was hoping to use as a preamp mixer (CD) and Mics. Will this work?
I am needing to mix an RCA input of music (karaoke) and I wireless mic. I was hoping to use the DOD 240 Reistance Mixer to preamp my vocal monitor. Will this work. IT seems that it has .45k ohm to .51m ohm resistance. Seems to be a lot in my eyes. Anyone got any suggestions. I needed something really small and was hoping for something that did not need power.
I am not familiar with your kind of equipment but let me tell you what I have done. For either a home studio use or a small gig for say 75 people, I have used a rather new regular two channel home stereo receiver. It gives you a power amp and with bass and treble and volume controls eliminates a outright preamp or mixer. I hooked up my JVC, three tray, karaoke player (which has 1/4″ mike inputs) to the receiver. For a good demo cd, add a cd recorder. Just match your speakers to the same ohms your receiver uses. Inexpensive and good quality and easy to use. My recordings sound as good as my friends $12,000 setup.
