Microphone Question outdoor soccer field microphone?
Okay, so I'll be shooting a band and want to capture sound. I need a microphone that can put on a pedestal that will capture the sound of the field who need a microphone to capture the other side. I know you will need to get on a pedestal to elevate above the ground so if you have a stand in mind that would be great. Thanks!
You're gonna get more than the noise band music in the background. Consider renting or borrowing some wireless microphones lavalier and attach to some musicians in the front, central and back of the band. Another option would be to use those little digital recorders used to record lectures and synchronize the sound with the image in post. If you still want the microphone from the barrier, use a shotgun microphone on a microphone stand with a parabolic dish.
