DJ I know you're a mac but something I am thinking of buying is a Stanton Final Scratch. In fact, you can get any song on your computer and mixed live by DJ CD players, turntables, if available. But to anwser your question good speakers of light material would be possibly some bose cheap. But will you be doing this as a hobby or for large parties? I guess what matters. You could get speakers or studio speakers preamp is more important than they need to. I would suggest to check all Pssl.com. Hope this helped at least a little.
