High score hackers – online games?
Just reading some interesting news on these so called “high score hackers”. It mentioned some programs so i went and looked them up (for fun, of course xD) and the way they explain how the program’s work is like a foreign language to me. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on what the programs actually do:

-UltraEdit32 – hex editor it said if that helps…
-DJ Java Decompiler
-WebProxy
Yea, thats it. Oh yea, i don’t want to know how they hack em and stuff cos that’s just sad and ruings the fun. Just what the programs do, it interests me.

A decompiler takes code that is readable by a computer and translates it back into code that is written and readable by a human. Using a flash decompiler, someone could get the source of a flash game, change the high score calculation and run that version of the game instead.
