The most important reminders of being a DJ
If cornered me against the wall and said, "Okay, what are the most important things about being a DJ? Had to reach the short list that I will share with you in this article. Please note that this list is by no means all-encompassing. There many more things you have to learn. But these things are on my priority list. I hope you find useful.
The number one must be your computer. Not I can emphasize its importance enough. It kills me to see the purchase of new equipment or used cheap DJs and hoping to get some kind of sound quality out of it, not to mention the often cheap and old material is always broken. The last thing you want to happen is not going to be a show and they all die to you all at the same time. Trust me, NOT a good feeling. So please make sure you have the best equipment you can buy.
Number two has to be your track list. In most places, you'll be playing a mixed audience, you have to make sure you have a selection that will appeal to all tastes. Something does not want to do is come up with a list so syrupy that repels the metal crowd. Always take them into account when performing. Also, you want to make sure you keep the women happy. Yes, they are his number one priority if you know it or not.
Number three, and perhaps this is the most important is that it is not you. It's about music. You are just the vehicle to get the music from your turntable to the ears of the crowd. Too many DJs get all frozen in the "Hey look how nice I am! "Person and that is a disaster waiting to happen. Do not get me wrong, you have to be nice and friendly. That does not mean that you become the center of attention.
Great team, a good mix of music and the right attitude will take you far in this industry. As I said, take this guide to what's worth it to you. Ultimately it is your concert and you have to do with it what you want.
