I will be in West Hollywood CA. July 25 to 29. What are the best non-tourist things to do?
Best Bakery / Coffee? Better for the best breakfast eateries, casual and with great atmosphere. Bars, clubs and entertainment ….. Candy? Abby? or something else. Santa Monica Pier ….. fun or jump? What about the farmers market and shops in the Grove? What are some good choices for a Sunday as I have until 8pm to attend to an event. I am from South Florida and I've seen enough Body Works, Macy etc stores across all U.S. retailers. Collectors looking for DJ / Music Vynal type stores …. No I do not mean a Virgin Megastore although probably stop there. I checked Zagat ….. …. and Damron When webites.
Best breakfast is the pantry, Downtown Los Angeles. Large portions, they never close. In-N-Out Burger: Multiple locations, best burger in Los Angeles, ask anyone. Pink Hot Dogs: 709 N. La Brea north of Melrose. You might even see a celebrity. Maybe. Chile Tommy Burgers: Look for the shack, a tradition of Los Angeles. The original location is Beverly and Rampart, a couple of miles west of downtown. Canter's Deli: 419 N. Fairfax, between Beverly and Melrose. Near CBS, you might spot a celebrity. Phillippe: 1001 N. Alameda. Great roast beef sandwiches. Near Union Station and Olvera Street. Add the mustard, hot weather. The Pantry: Corner of Figueroa and 9th, downtown. Large portions, that close, GREAT steak and eggs ever. Santa Monica Pier is where a lot of locals go to the beach. It is easy to reach. I go there for the historic environment, not for walks on the dock. And Venice Beach, a short bike ride to the south is a freak show in the total weedkends. Farmers Market / Grove is a cool place for pay. Some old, some new.
