Nightlife in London: Trafalgar is anything but square
Although famous for Nelson's Column and a high population of pigeons, Trafalgar Square is also a popular London night, with dozens of restaurants, cafes and bustling bars just minutes from the plaza itself.
The Rockwell Hotel bar, for example, is an elegant bar with a rooftop terrace overlooking the plaza and the rest of Westminster. The interior is modern fashion with lots of glass, marble, leather and polished wood, and design the hotel is such that there are no barriers or boundaries, giving the impression of a large open space that flows to relax. This space is an antidote to calm the crowd chaotic outside that swarm over Trafalgar Square, and is famous for its cocktails. A few minutes from the Rockwell Akbar is a sumptuous and stylish bar are decorated in Indian architecture of the Mughal era. Akbar maintains an eclectic mix of spirits from around the world, with bottles ranging from Icelandic Japanese Cucumber Vodka Shochu. Indian snacks are on offer for those who feel something good, but a fresh bar of this comes at a price, so if you're on a tight budget, you better stick to beer Kingfisher.
The Game Room, a dedicated Burlesque bar nine minutes walk from Trafalgar Square is decorated with zebra skin, the leather, pianos and lighting Art Deco style – creating a refined atmosphere. The Burlesque performances attract a super cool clientele and celebrities including singers, and Akbar is considered more cool bar in London.
Many hotels London and, in particular the West End are chic bars attached, but few have a night club, so where do you go when the hear the cries of "Last orders, gentlemen, please "?
Well, you could do worse than heading for the final, which started a while a new wave of clubs in the capital with a high quality sound system, hi-tech and friendly. Most of the world population known DJs have played here at some point, Roni Size, Daft Punk, Fatboy Slim, Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mils, Layo and Bushwacka are just some of the big names who have gone through. Famous for having the best sound system in London final is only 14 minutes walk from Trafalgar.
So forget about feeding the pigeons, with such great nightlife on offer, Trafalgar is any anything but square.
