Dubstep Artists to Watch
Dubstep is a new and exciting genre of electronic dance music that has its roots in the dub and techno in early 2000 in London. It's really hard to pin exactly what is called dubstep, and it is still new and evolving slowly. Sometimes it is danceable and stometimes is more obtuse. It is mostly created electronically and some artists use samples such as train horns or other strange noises, but some artists are against the use of the sample. If you are looking for a great example of the variety of gender, BBC Radio 1 DJ Mary Anne Hobbs has a program that is often seen as one of the most visible defenders of dubstep.
Ikonika
One of the few women in male-dominated scene, music Ikonika known for its unique blend of hip-hop, 8bit and R & B influences all injecting some much needed tune dubstep basslines often harsh abuse. Ikonika has published a series of excellent singles on the label Hyperdub always a great record as well as Planet Mu Both labels must attest to how great Ikonika will fly when released their first full length album in 2010. I can not wait.
Joy Orbison
Similar often placed in the "UK Funky" scene appropriately named Joy Orbison is the name of a man, Peter O'Grady. O'Grady has been writing some of the freshest tunes of the year dubstep sound and gradually building more and more movement in large part to American indie music blogs, in capturing their third album, make color and track dubstep massive club "Hyph Mngo." Appleblim

A recording artist Hyperdub untouchable, Darkstar has been developing some of the darkest, most beautiful dubstep music in recent years. Many people are calling their latest single "Girl Aidy is a PC" for a contestant dubstep track of the year. Darkstar other recent releases, both "You Need "and" Squeeze My Lime "is considered classic dubstep and his work is surely only going to get more popular in the rate at which it is addressed.
