DJs do have to buy discs for your dishes or must load music onto the mixer?

I wanted to be a DJ, but I also realized that i need logs or something but im not sure if upload their music DJs in the mixer or have to buy records to play music … Anybody please tell me because I really want to know know before you buy my turntables and mixer

I know a guy who use mp3 for iPod. I would just b / c would much less to carry.
