Dj List

Is it normal to have have a song list for your dj?
I have like 50 songs I want played at my wedding! I picked them out myself bc I want to make sure they were clean with a good variety.
Yes, but is 50 too much??
Wow. You’re doing great! I’m having trouble thinking of just the basics! I don’t think that’s too much at all. You’re really just making his job easier. As long as you give him the freedom to take requests from guests or add an appropriate song here or there as needed and don’t require that he stick to a particular order for the songs you pick out, I don’t think it would be stepping on any toes. He’ll be able to take the information you’ve given him and apply it in a way that he as a professional should know will get the party going the way you want it to go. That list will give him an idea of what you like and will help him choose filler songs accordingly. Also, make sure you give him a list of “do not play” songs. These should also all be signed off on in the contract. Make sure its specified somewhere in your contract that agreed upon songs must be played or not played accordingly so that you know he’ll play what you want.
