Independent contractors contract?
I DJ and am interested in signing this contract with this company promotions. I was reading the agreements under his contract and says that I'm just an independent contractor to his promotions company, but the insurer must represent your company name when making events for them and I can announce myself under its trade name. And also as an independent contractor should have my own insurance and the insurance company promotions I covered in case something happens. Can they legally put under that contract because to me it sounds like you should be an employee under them and not an independent contractor?

"They want you classified that way because they save money and reduce liability if they agree to it. However, if the IRS came to you were an employee, that is another story.
