Dj Equipment Lighting

When connect my DJ equipment (like amps and light) the breaker goes down. What can I do?
I dont want to make. Is there some sort of Capacitor for that. like in cars. But I dont know. but i stll need to use the 110-volt outlet to power my DJ
The simple answer is; No there is not some sort of capacitor like in cars you can use.
Keep in mind that most amps will state their minimum continuous draw in big print. But if you look closely at the owners’ manual you’ll find the true power draw of the amps. Often companies state the total draw of their amp to be something like 7 amps, but if you read the manual the true continuous draw of the amp under normal use is often over 14 amps in 8 ohms & 18 amps in 4 ohms.
Big DJ systems normally require a distro box because of the large power requirements of amps & lighting systems. An electrician connects the distro box to the building’s fuse box or breaker box..
If you are not an electrician a power distribution box should not be attempted as DIY project. You should buy a pre-manufactured distro box or have a professional electrician build one for you.
A distro box can be very expensive. The Furman ACD-100 & the Furman ACD-120 are two good distro boxes that are not too expensive.

The only other option is to limit how much power you use. Your two most power hungry areas are your amplifiers & your lights. By shopping for more efficient speakers & sub woofers, you can increase your volume level while decreasing your amplifier size needs.
Also LED PAR cans are more expensive than standard PAR cans, but use less power than standard PAR cans. Stagger your light use to save power. A lot of lights going at once may look better, but it’s going to take a big bite out of how many amps/watts you have available if your power is limited.
Take a wattage inventory or amperage inventory of all the equipment you currently have. Write them down separately. This will help you in hooking up your equipment & running your equipment more effectively without tripping the building’s circuit breakers.
Get a few very heavy duty extension cords (typically they are blue or black). I’d go for two 100′, two 50′ & two 25′ cords. (Plus a few short heavy duty cords.) Since you want to keep cords out of the way to prevent trip hazards, cord runs can become pretty long sometimes. (Taping cords on the floor next to the wall is one common way of running your power cords & speaker cables.)
Whenever possible hook your amps on one circuit & your lights on a separate circuit. Two electrical outlets may be far apart, but still be on the same circuit. So you need to check to be sure the outlets you are using are not on the same circuit.
If you are not already using a power conditioner for your amp rack I recommend adding a Furman power conditioner. It will clean up noise entering your system from the AC power lines & it gives you surge protection.
