Equipment for a DJ and producer, where to get it.?
If you've read my other question about the desire to be a DJ, I mean where and how to begin, rather than actual places like a pub lol. If you have not read the qu other -> Me and my partner wants to start so young DJ's, which is closer to production of things in mind. But where we do is, start. equipment. I did some research, but I get easily confused. I'm looking along the lines the purchase of a turntable … I: S So any advice, contacts, websites and knowledge you may have – please let me know. If you want to dj, turntableSS defintly purchase. Yes, you will need more than one! Being a DJ, like anything else in the music business, it requires practice, practice, practice, and I think the dishes would be better to learn the ins and outs of mixing rather than a CDJ for example. If you're still starting out, rush out to buy not the top line of things, however, keep your eyes, and the budget low, then you can increase as more confidence. But again, if you can get 1210 to a super low price, take it! The basic equipment needed would be: food (with accessories: needles, cables, slipmats, etc) and amplifier speakers (again, not going for anything too fancy yet) headphones and, of course, vinyl! With respect, your partner, well, pieces of equipment such as drum machines and samplers can be very expensive, and it might be best to go with the laptop and via software, at least until you can afford to get the right material. Look at the 2nd store hand in hand, I have worked in one and occasionally we had a bit of dj equipment, or you can trawl through online classifieds, that's how I have my turntable. Good luck!
