Dj Help – What to do and what not to do?
Im a 18 year old male that loves music and definately wants to become a club dj one day playing overseas and in big clubs. I know a whole bunch of tunes, but the thing is i dont have any dj equipment due to money difficulties since im a student. Im getting a job soon, in order to start with the DJ’ing, and was thinking to enroll at London School Of Sound for a 6 week club dj course where they will teach me the basics and how to mix and stuff, which will cost £550 in total. But then i thought, the big djs that play in clubs nowadays didnt take a course, they just bought equipment and started practicing till they got really good and then began looking for work, and plus the £550 could help with purchasing equipment. But then again at london school of sound, the tutors there are real djs themselves, and they say that if your good, they will speak to producers about you and also help you with making mix CD’s for finding work…HELP..WHAT SHOULD I DO?
the DJ’s that didn’t take a course is because it was something that just came natural to them. for some people it’s different. but for that kind of money you could just try and teach you self.
