Discounted Dj Equipment
Are there hidden costs I should look out for a dj event?
I'm starting and I have 2 APs (just for concerts and other major concert) a laptop, turntables mixer and CDJ system. I can play music from multiple sources in my show. Currently doing mostly free or Discount parts in my name out there, but hoping to get more exposure by doing so. Just concerned if there is a charge I am more than looking, as ASCAP or RIAA rates or something I would have to pay I need. I seem to pay the amount if done by a majority djs own equipment and be able to tell what kind of music the public has fun with is crazy. I just think there would be more. if not, I guess it's good, but I wanted to have my base covered. I would not be defendant and there is no way to defend myself.
